“I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee.” -Carly Simon

I have been a passionate and multifaceted artist since I was a child. I began my journey in the arts through a love of piano and choir, and as I grew, I found a greater love for the act of storytelling itself. I pursued and attained my BFA in Musical Theatre from Stephens College with a focus on devised work. I was lucky to attend a college that didn’t encourage its students to be cookie cutter MTs, but instead fostered a love of various disciplines. I directed for multiple short plays as well as Assistant Directed for Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl in the style of Frantic Assembly (featured at KCACTF Region 5). Beyond this, I also took courses in Education and taught voice and piano through our Community Music School.

After college, I immediately booked work on the East Coast for the summer and then made the big move to NYC! I had never so much as visited before taking a bus here and relocating my entire life during COVID. Since moving to the city, I have had the luck to book several contracts that have allowed me to travel the world. I spent 2 summers in Portugal, and most recently spent 14 months as a Resident Artist in South Korea. My eclectic background prepared me better than I could have expected for my time in Asia. Apart from taking on several roles in our shows and performing multiple times a week (and sometimes multiple times a day), I also wrote all the music for a new musical, taught vocal workshops and lessons, became the Tour Manager, Office Manager, Welcome Captain, and eventually Resources Manager. https://www.englishmusicalskorea.com/

I have also been able to gain my SAG Eligibility via background and stand-in work. I’ve certainly found my niche in the on-camera world (and beyond) as 18+ to play younger! Additionally, I’ve been taking On-Camera classes with Jon Shear Creative. https://www.jonshearcreative.com/workshops

Currently, I am back in NYC, and open to work! I am working on a new play in development by Christie Spessard (holding our first staged reading soon!) I take dance classes and voice lessons as my schedule allows.

Most days, you can find me hanging out with my sweet dog Ken whom I rescued from Korea (he showed up at my doorstep, how could I say no?)
I look forward to future collaborations!

Best-
Hannah
